TravelTainment with new Tour Operator expertise

Peterborough, 11th January 2010 - TravelTainment is adding a new suite of modules to its product portfolio which will further compliment its search and book technology.

The new modules will provide system support, initially for booking fulfilment processing and will be followed by inventory management and packaging modules for smaller and medium sized tour operators. All modules are multi lingual and will be available across multi-markets with functionality specific to each market sector. The initial launch will be in France during the second quarter 2010 and will then roll out to the UK soon after.

The 8 strong development team for the project is based in Manchester and boasts a combined 100 years experience in Tour Operating. This new TT subsidiary is headed up by former BlueSky Travel Systems Product and Technical Director, Tom Steele. All staff gained extensive experience on a wide range of projects in a number of international markets with major tour-operating brands including Airtours, Thomas Cook and First Choice as well as retail experience with Holidays by Phone and Going Places. The team includes Jane Parkinson who has over 20 years business analysis experience in travel and James Lorimer who has extensive application design experience across a wide range of travel businesses.

Andy Owen-Jones, CEO of TravelTainment comments: “This new team and its specific know how will enable us to meet our customers’ requirements regarding dynamic packaging solutions in a decisive way. We are planning essential additional solutions for all our markets with extensive additional value for our customers.” Steele adds: “TravelTainment is already well known for its world-class front-end technology. The new teams focus is to extend the company’s product portfolio by providing full business cycle support for our customers.”
